In the process of addressing obstacles, problem-solving, and making effective choices, it is invaluable to have a collaborative support team to eliminate unnecessary struggle. Creating collaboration is an act of self-love.
Such a support team can assist us in maximizing effectiveness and productivity. A support triangle is any group of three people who come together in agreement to consistently support each other in being extraordinary. Usually, these groups meet weekly or monthly to motivate, inform, and inspire each other.
We all need a sense of love and community. What can be better than a group of people with a common proactive vision?
Because of the push and pull of daily living and the reactive and meme laden world around us, it is easy to have breakdowns in maintaining consistency in fulfilling one’s vision. One core natural law that guides our behavior is the desire to connect with others and create community. The Support Triangle is a powerful tool for creating productive, effective, and abundant environments.
As you go through your daily schedule remember that all humans have positive and negative aspects. As evil as the reviled may be, the great heroes have their flaws and defects, including, regret, and self-doubt. Even your heroes may stumble while doing great work.
Many great teachers have transcended dark struggles and obstacles because they had effective support. Many teachers, early in their lives have been the victim of poor choices, including extreme moral and ethical lapses, substance abuse, heavy drinking, bigotry — either explicit or implicit, sexism, racism, and a host of other isms. Some were tortured souls torn emotionally apart by various ambivalences and internal conflicts. Being a Master, Sage, visionary, or hero does not come without a price. Progress, after all, is a sluggish snail-like crawl to greater wisdom and self-knowledge. Remember, the Wisdom Path is not a program for Sainthood or hero worship. It is an exploration of profound personal transformation, inner wisdom, and self-actualization, amongst other things.
Among the greatest of obstacles for many of my students are that they tend to put others on a pedestal. They may worship heroes or gurus or the reverse, demonize those they perceive to be evil.
There is certainly nothing wrong in modeling our own lives on the great works of others. It is valuable to explore these lives and apply lessons learned from them as a good example of what we might accomplish, as well as an example of what level our dark side may drag us to if our intentions are not maintained at the highest level.
In self-improvement, we are concerned with exploration, not deification, or demonization of others. Guides and mentors are certainly important but one need never gives their power away to another human being. In the end, you are your own guru even though it is important to have other guides.
One way to avoid the trap of deification/demonization thinking is to create or become part of an efficient effective support triangle. Support triangles are a powerful tool anyone can use to transcend a personal crisis. Many people have very difficult lives and are truly committed to being more effective in every way. Humans by nature get some gratification from helping or serving others. It is often true that one person’s effort is more or less insignificant unless they are linked with others, all striving to the same end.
The origins of the concept are actually based on a model called “Master Mind Groups”. This concept was developed by Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, who first defined the mastermind as a “coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.”

“Lewis, your program was one of the first steps I took in the process of defining my interest in alternative medicine and for that I thank you. It has been over 45 years and I am continually amazed when I look back upon how easily and quickly one step has led to the next. Thank you for being there to assist in laying the foundations for all my future studies.”

I’ve been diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. I plan on surviving this challenge and continuing to prosper while serving others.
A friend started a fundraiser on GoFundMe and it would mean so much if you could take a look at it.
She wrote “Any help, like donating or sharing, gets Lewis closer to his goal. Thank you in advance for your kindness and support.”
