My name is Lewis Harrison, I have been a High Ticket-Paid Professional Speaker for over fifty years, and I want to teach you how to do the same.
Professional Public speaking is the act or skill of delivering speeches on a subject before a live or video audience and for a fee.
Professional Public speaking is one of the few professions where an individual can earn millions of dollars annually, without even having a high school degree.
The key factor is their skill in inspiring, motivating, informing, and transforming an audience, and of course, business.
In my career, I have had many successes. During this time I was also the President of the NYC Chapter of the National Speaker’s Association (NSASpeaker.org), and the National Chairperson of the Wellness Experts Groups at NSA.
In 2009 I became a producer and host of a talk show on an NPR (National Public Radio) affiliated station.

Public speaking has played an important cultural role in human history. Confucius, the ancient and influential Chinese philosopher and a prominent scholar of the craft of public speaking, that the best speech should impact individual lives, even those who might not even be in the audience. He taught that a person in power could influence the world through words and behaviors.
Public speaking has been studied throughout history. It was studied in Ancient China, Greece, and Rome, where it was analyzed by prominent thinkers as a central part of rhetoric.
Over the millennia different societies and cultures have defined many different purposes for public speaking.
Today, paid public speaking has been transformed by digital technologies, such as multimedia presentations, video conferencing, and other non-traditional forms of presentation, that are now becoming mainstream.

The function of paid public speaking is determined by the speaker's intent, but it is possible for the same speaker, with the same intent, to deliver substantially different speeches to different audiences, and for different fees.”

Public speaking is frequently directed at a select and sometimes restricted audience, consisting of individuals who may hold different perspectives and beliefs. This audience can encompass reluctant attendees with opposing views, employees who need certification, enthusiastic supporters of the speaker, or strangers with varying levels of interest in the topic at hand. Proficient speakers recognize that even a modest-sized audience is not a uniform entity but rather a diverse assembly of individuals.
Paid public speaking is a systematic process that aims to either emotionally or informationally alert a complacent audience of something important, reassure an anxious audience, or offer a combination of inspiration, motivation, or information. Once the speaker has determined which of these approaches is required (a kill unto itself), they will use a combination of informational approaches, storytelling, mixed media, and even humor to achieve their goals.
In my career, my speeches often focused on persuasion.
I aimed to change the audience's beliefs. I often made presentations in public forums in an attempt to persuade an audience, whether they be the general public or government officials.
When I was hired by the filmmaker Michael Moore to speak before the Indian and Pakistani delegations to the United Nations about the dangers of nuclear proliferation for his television show “The Awful Truth” there were four essential elements in place.
1. I spoke to persuade;
2. The audience came to specifically hear me speak;
3. I used a specific speaking method;
4. …And I conveyed a specific message that was of interest to this audience;
When attempting to persuade an audience to change their opinions, I (the speaker) needed the skills to appeal to the audience’s emotions and beliefs.
