An Introduction to The Great Visionaries
Improve your life by studying thought leaders, trailblazers, inventors, heroes, and game changers.
I have a passion for puzzles of all-kind. My favorite of all puzzles is the puzzle of life. The type of puzzle that requires that I put all the pieces together to create a beautiful picture of life and living
In my work as a self-improvement and personal development mentor and coach, I have developed a passion for exploring the lives of visionaries, thought leaders, heroes, and other game-changers.
The choices these individuals made reflect and celebrate life, living, clarity of thought, and the power in perseverance. The choices they made were and are about the soaring of the human spirit; the inquiry into self and the surrender of that self to wisdom, divine knowledge, love, and the joy of being human. This section of my postings in Substack explores these individuals and their contributions to the betterment of humankind.
In life, things are seldom black or white, and it is the paradox of gray areas that makes things most troubling but also most interesting, and fulfilling. Many of my heroes of the past were deeply flawed individuals, and yet they clearly changed the world for the better.
These Substack newsletters are not intended to be scholarly or academic in nature. In fact, if anything it is the very opposite, that is the case. The stories of these great lives are a reflection of human limitations and possibilities. Here you will find a merging of history, biography, popular culture, game theory, psychology, courage, out-of-the-box thinking, and more. Use these great lives to help your imagination to soar.
Seeing the breakthroughs these individuals created can serve as a security blanket for those in need of need hope. They can also serve as a moat to protect the open, and joyous, and help us see the light and dispel the darkness in a world filled with disaster, evil, the reactive, and the ineffective.
When choosing visionaries to explore I have made no distinction between the sensible, practical, probable, reasonable, rational, religious, or superstitious. I avoid taking ideological positions or spouting rhetoric here.
In creating these newsletters I hope to introduce you to ideas, heroes, places, and things that will both expand your imagination and motivate and inspire you to engage in life more fully.
