Announcing the “Self-Improvement” Inner Circle Subscription Newsletter at Substack
Upgrade to your weekly funnel for motivation, inspiration, positive news, and personal development - tips
In every Substack newsletter I post I always open by saying,
“This newsletter serves a demographic of highly intelligent readers, deep thinkers, life hackers, preppers, entrepreneurs, and survivalists. I especially focus on those with a passion for ideas, critical thinking, strategic game theory, and a desire to understand the world around them. Readers of my posts are usually tired of being patronized elsewhere by fact-less, opinionated know-nothings, misinformation, conspiracy theories, and fake news.”
To this, I also add…
“Knowledge is power. Wisdom brings meaning, contentment, and happiness!”
Here, then is an opportunity to take your self-improvement and personal development journey to a whole new level and make a measurable difference in the world.
I am inviting you to upgrade to a paid Substack Subscription and get weekly articles on history, forgotten visionaries and thought leaders, personal finance and investing, life hacking (prepping), spirituality, mindfulness, travel, mental and emotional health, holistic health, fitness, natural healing, emotional wellness, prepping, and reviews of transformational films.
Why am I Creating this Subscriber Inner Circle?
Every morning when I'm done with my basic self-improvement routine of mindful meditation, hatha yoga, Tai Chi, and Aikido, I sit down with a cup of my magic brew - a really good cup of coffee with cinnamon, cocoa, and Maitake mushroom powder. Here I go through about 10 important news feeds across the information spectrum (including the BBC, MSNBC, Yahoo news, the Washington Post, the New York Times, Al Jazeera, the Nice News, the National Review, the Cato Institute etcetera.
Here I find many interesting stories and videos to expand my world.
Unfortunately, I am involved in a number of philanthropic projects and don't have the time and space to share all of these “life gems” with my Substack subscribers, or even in my Self-Improvement for Beginners Group and Forum on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/groups/455029215769173
A number of my supporters suggested I create an Ask Lewis Inner Circle. An Upgrade at AskLewis.Substack.com where I can consistently share….
long-form articles (Many “greatest hits” ) from forty years of archival research).
movie reviews,
videos of current interest,
and in-depth analyses concerning current affairs.
Many of my online followers, especially in the Self-Improvemen Group, and among my Substack Subscribers have interests in a wide range of subjects, and a few suggested I create a portal to help them pick the best essential stuff that might be getting lost in all the social network noise out there.
I asked around, not looking to work harder if there was no serious interest in the endeavor.
“What a great idea this is”, many told me.
So, I’m doing it! I’m creating a subscription “Self-Improvement Inner Circle Newsletter” as part of my Life Strategies Playbook.
The paid Inner Circle subscription offers a rich array of benefits and bonuses.
When you subscribe, every Friday evening you'll be receiving a special long-form newsletter containing incredible articles and videos on…
History: These include new information from the past and stories that have made us who we are today.
Forgotten visionaries: A piece on someone who changed our world in a huge way but may not be remembered.
Personal finance and investing: I wrote a best-selling book on personal finance “Wealth Hacks”. Here I will share with you weekly tips on how to stretch every dollar you have and show you how to eliminate financial stress.
Life Hacks: I like to call this “Hints from Lewis”. Here you will find lifestyle hints, cooking tips, consumer information, pets, travel, food, home improvement, health and wellness.
Spirituality and Mindfulness: We are all seeking meaning for our lives. In this weekly segment you learn non-dogmatic and important ideas, quotes, and practices from acclaimed spiritual teachers, and thought leaders as well as excerpts from my over twenty books.
Travelogue: My wife and I have travelled to over twenty-six countries over the last decade. Here we will share our experiences from the past, the best places to visit and how to do it PEEPPASA (with practicality, effectiveness, efficiency, precision, productivity, accuracy, and self-awareness).
Mental Health Awareness: Life can be tough out there. We all need support, tips and tools for achieving and sustaining mental and emotional clarity and happiness.
Holistic and Natural Healing Tips: I have written a number of best-selling books on wellness and personal healing. I have files overflowing with folk medicine tips on aromatherapy, touch and healing, nutrition, herbal medicine, fitness, and other alternative therapies that reside outside of medical science. Still, many of these tips are supported by proper scientific research explanations, and evidence. Every weekend you will have access to a variety of resources related to natural health and healing
Prepping: This is the practice of proactively preparing for emergencies such as natural disasters, as well as other disasters caused by disruption to ordinary life. Remember during the Covid pandemic when people couldn’t find baby formula or toilet paper? Even today, with inflation, many people are replacing scrambled eggs with scrambled tofu just to save money.
I was caught in Hurricane Irene in 2011, where I was calling in updates to WIOX FM, the radio station I had a show on. My NYC friends remember rowing down Second Avenue during Hurricane Sandy back in 2012
My point here is you need to prepp, whether for short-term scenarios, personal adversity, for local disruption of services, or even for international or global catastrophe. In each Inner Circle newsletter, you will find tips on self-reliance, a sensible approach to stockpiling supplies, and gaining survival knowledge and skills.
Film Reviews: One of the highlights of my creative life was that I was a member of The National Board of Review of Motion Pictures, a non-profit organization of New York City area film enthusiasts. Its awards, which are announced in early December, are considered an early harbinger of the film awards season that culminates in the Academy Awards. I was part of this. It was great!
One of my great simple pleasures is sharing a nightly film, often a forgotten unknown treasure, with my wife. We find most of these films for free on YouTube or on one of the online services. Each week, in this newsletter I will pick the best of the bunch, and review it for you.
Let the “Ask Lewis Inner Circle” be your go-to source for intelligent, sensible information on creativity, self-improvement, personal development, and positivity.
