How We Speak, Best Effects How We Think and Act
The essence of thought, word, and deed
“This newsletter serves a demographic of highly intelligent readers, and deep thinkers with a passion for ideas, critical thinking, and a desire to understand the world around them. Readers of my posts are usually tired of being patronized elsewhere by fact-less, opinionated know-nothings, misinformation, conspiracy theories, and fake news.

On a personal note: Please excuse grammatical errors, typos, repetition, and any general nonsense, and such in this post. I am getting a bit older now, and I have about 20,000 pages of information that must get published before I leave the mortal coil. I simply write and publish more than my humble editors are able to correct. If you find enough errors you are welcome to contact me about being an editor of my work.

A 1 - Minute Read
Q. Lewis, I was discussing the concept of thoughts, words, and deeds with someone. How do these three things affect each other?
A. On the most basic level, thoughts, words, and deeds are not the same but thoughts and words do influence your deeds (Behavior).
In my own work as a self-improvement mentor and life coach, this concept is very important, because a person who has PTSD, or addiction issues can transform how they interact with the world by changing the words they use in general conversation.
One transformational technique I recommend for separating emotions from a traumatic memory is to change how we use language and words. Among the words that I avoid using as much as possible include…
· Would
· Could
· Should
· But
· What if,
· Maybe
· Try
I am not rigid about this concept. It is just a mental exercise I do to transform reactive to proactive thinking.
