On a personal note: Please excuse grammatical errors, typos, repetition, and any general nonsense, and such in this post. I am getting a bit older now, and I have about 20,000 pages of information that must get published before I leave the mortal coil. I simply write and publish more than my humble editors are able to correct. If you find enough errors you are welcome to contact me about being an editor of my work.

A Story About Wisdom
A huge passenger plane is flying from Kennedy Airport in New York City to Gatwick Airport in London.
The pilot, who loves flying planes, is a former ace pilot who has won many combat medals. After retiring from the air force, he decided to continue flying with a major airline.
Way above the Atlantic Ocean, his plane is flying with little change in speed at 30,000 feet.
Suddenly, a fighter jet, something out of the movie Top Gun appears.
The pilot of the fighter jet slows down, and as he flies alongside the Airbus, he smiles and waves greeting the pilot of the passenger plane.
Then our Top Gun pilot reaches out to the Airbus pilot by radio: "Man” he proclaims “Flying that elephant of a plane must be boring as hell? Now have a look here!"
Suddenly Top Gun guy rolls his jet on its back, accelerates, breaks through the sound barrier, rises rapidly to a dizzying height, and then swoops down almost to sea level in a breathtaking dive. He loops back next to the Airbus and asks, "What do you think of that?"
The Airbus pilot answers: "Superb and also very impressive. In fact, back in the day, I did stuff like that! Now my skills are much more advanced than that now. Wanna see? Watch this!"
The jet pilot watches the Airbus with anticipation, but nothing happens. The airbus continues to fly straight, at the same speed. After 15 minutes, the Airbus pilot radios, "Well, what do you think? How was that? Pretty impressive huh?
Confused, the jet pilot asks, "What did you just do? Nothing seems to have changed?”
The Airbus pilot laughs and says, "I got up, did some yoga, then a little tai chi, then some mindful meditation. Then walked to the back of the aircraft to use the washroom, then got a cup of tea and a wonderful chocolate fudge pastry. Ommmmmmm, Ommmmmmm, Ommmmmmm Om mani padme hum.”
Om mani padme hum is an ancient Buddhist mantra. In English, this rhythmic chant literally translates to “Praise to the Jewel in the Lotus.” This might not make much sense to Top Gun pilots but it makes total sense to old warriors who have already conquered the world and have surrendered to Wu wei – The action that requires no action!
The message of this story is this: When you’re young and possibly a bit foolish, speed, short-term gratification, and a peak experience, fed by adrenaline seem to matter. But, as you get older and wiser, you learn that harmony, clarity, peace, and low-cost, simple pleasures, now and then, and here and there, are much more important.
This is called S.W.O.S.: Slower, Wiser, Older and Smarter.….and remember, life is not a dress rehearsal!
Wisdom: A Poem
Wisdom can mean many things to be fair,
It can be a here or there,
For a seeker in struggle,
It is spiritual warfare,
It’s a wisdom awakening for others more yin.
For these folks the process is to go deep within,
It is spiritual healing for those in pain,
For them less is more as they seek to gain,
Some seek a spiritual guide,
Especially for those with no need to hide,
So concerning what I wish to show,
This is what you need to know,
Peace and harmony must come first,
If you wish to quench your spiritual thirst.——————————————————————————————————————
