Mastering the best life strategies through Harrison's Applied Game Theory
I have a passion for applied Game Theory and Strategic thinking. In my personal and professional life, I have explored and applied how mental and thinking processes have been applied by individuals and within organizations to achieve sets of goals or individual goals. This collection of strategies and tactics is the foundation of my AskLewis Life Strategy Playbook Newsletter
When applied in an organizational strategic management process, strategic thinking involves the generation and application of unique business insights and opportunities intended to create competitive advantage for an individual, firm, or organization.
A strategy can be applied individually as well as collaboratively. Usually, this is done among key people who have the ability to positively shift an organization's future.
Collaborative Group strategic thinking will usually create increaed value by creating a creative and proactive dialogue. Here, individuals gain other people's perspectives on complex and critical issues. This is regarded as a benefit in highly competitive and fast-changing interactive, political, and business scenarios.
Over the last four decades, greater attention has been paid to game theory as a tool for effective strategizing.
Game theory is the study of patterns and models of strategic interactions. It has applications in many fields of social science and is used extensively in:
economics,
logic,
systems science
computer science
…and daily interactions with people, places, and things.
In my daily postings, I usually explore game theory addressed in two-person zero-sum (win-lose) games, in which a participant's gains or losses are exactly balanced by the losses and gains of the other players (participants).
In the 1950s, it was extended to the study of non zero-sum ( win-win) games, and was eventually applied to a wide range of behavioral relations. I have expanded these ideas into what I call HAGT (Harrison’s Applied Game Theory), an umbrella term for the art and science of rational and counter intuitive decision making in animals, humans, and computers.
In my daily posts and Substack Notes I will be exploring and presenting different strategies and tactics from the world of HAGT.
Many of these are from my book, Harrison’s Applied Game Theory: How To Any Problem Effortlessly.
