The Best Good News that Inspired Me This Week
Stories designed to support and promote your happiness
“This newsletter serves a demographic of highly intelligent readers, deep thinkers, life hackers, preppers, entrepreneurs, and survivalists. I especially focus on those with a passion for ideas, critical thinking, strategic game theory, and a desire to understand the world around them. Readers of my posts are usually tired of being patronized elsewhere by fact-less, opinionated know-nothings, misinformation, conspiracy theories, and fake news.
“Knowledge is power, wisdom brings meaning, contentment, and happiness!”

On a personal note: Please excuse grammatical errors, typos, repetition, and any general nonsense, and such in this post. I am getting a bit older now, and I have about 20,000 pages of information that must get published before I leave the mortal coil. I simply write and publish more than my humble editors are able to correct. If you find enough errors you are welcome to contact me about being an editor of my work.
Thanks for sharing this newsletter with your friends and associates -

I have a daily morning routine that includes some meditation, tai chi, Aikido, Yoga, watching some comedy on YouTube, and then a medicinal beverage of green tea, with a pinch of cocoa powder, coffee, and maitake mushrooms, and cinnamon.
This gets me started to do what needs to be done. Then it is on to check up on the world. Much of the news is pretty negative so I skim through the main stories on the BBC, MSNBC, The Cato Institute, The National Review, Washington Post, and the Onion (Satire). The sad thing is that much of what is in the news is so surreal that it is hard to tell the news from Satire. “Kanya West is the hero of the Alt Rite and sets the cause of Mental Health Advocates Back Three Decades.” As I finish reading all this bad news, I go over to NiceNews.com. As a Success and Transformational Life Coach I can’t always wake up to good news, but I choose to finish my morning news search with a daily email of only positive news in my inbox each morning. That’s free good news at NiceNews.com.
Here is a selection of stories I have curated to keep you informed in a positive way as you start your weekend.
Story #1 - Mushrooms, Psilocybin, and Depression
Psilocybin is a naturally occurring psychedelic prodrug compound produced by more than 200 species of fungi. Psychiatric research indicates that the proper application of this psychedelic agent can reduce the symptoms of depression. Read the story here…

Story #2 – Batteries made from Sand
As a prepper and life hacker, I always have had an interest in developments in the world of sustainable energy. Here is a great article about how sand can be used to create the batteries of the future… Read the story here…

Story #3 – The pioneering women who walked across the Pyrenees.
It is important to explore how our ancestors in various cultures survived the hardest of times. This is especially so in these inflationary times when people endlessly whine because the price of eggs has gone up. (Preppers know how to make egg replacers and use recipes for tofu scramble.
Less than 100 years ago pioneering women walked across the Pyrenees mountains from Spain to France to find work and were ultimately paid in barter. A very impressive story. Their families acknowledge their sacrifices today. Watch the video here…
