Why is Mystic Taoism among the Best Secret Spiritual Paths?
Understanding the essence of spirituality without religion.

“These Taoist newsletters serve a demographic of highly intelligent readers, deep thinkers, and spiritually oriented seekers of truth, especially those with a passion for ideas, critical thinking, and unknown possibilities. The path to finding happiness is among those ideas. Readers of my posts on the Tao te Ching and the Chuang Tzu are usually tired of being patronized elsewhere by those who complain about everything they don’t like, but lack a willingness to think about, contemplate, meditate, and introspect on the Mystic Taoist approach to finding solutions to fix what they don’t like.”

On a personal note: Please excuse grammatical errors, typos, repetition, and any general nonsense, and such in this post. I am getting a bit older now, and I have about 20,000 pages of information that must get published before I leave the mortal coil. I simply write and publish more than my humble editors are able to correct. If you find enough errors you are welcome to contact me about being an editor of my work.

So, What Exactly is Mystic Taoism?
General Taoism can be defined in many different ways. To some it is a philosophical system, to others a personal esoteric practice, and still to others it is formal religion.
As a system of spiritual inquiry, Taoism is the basis for most of the Asian mystic schools including many Buddhist traditions, martial arts, yoga, Tai Chi, various forms of meditation, and Tantra. The ideas presented in the Taoist classics have filtered into Islamic, Judaic, and Christian mystic texts. Taoism’s influence on Western culture is reflected throughout the teachings of Jesus.
Mystic Taoism is an approach to Taoist thought, that is not concerned with rites, rituals, ceremonies, Taoist “witchcraft”, Priests, Temples, Taoist Occult practices, metaphysics, religious dogma, or the selling of “trinkets.”
Mystic Taoism is not concerned with what seems sensible, practical, probable, reasonable, rational, or spiritual to the ordinary person. Even so, the Mystic Taoist Path is more sensible, practical, probable, reasonable, rational, and spiritual than one might ever imagine.
The Taoist writings of Lao Tzu were not intended to be scholarly, academic, or even rational. In fact, if anything, the very opposite is true. Though an easy read, what is being said is hardly simplistic. These writings can serve as a reflection of human limitation as well as human possibility. Each line of each entry in the Tao te Ching can serve as a wave of personal inquiry that one can lightly slide past, or dive into for intense and, at times, ruthless introspection. These teachings are a…

a moat that will protect the open, joyous, alive, and effective individual from disaster, evil, the reactive, and the ineffective.
are a small yet laser-like light capable of piercing through the darkness.
More than anything, what is written in the Tao te Ching often serves as a signpost for a wormhole to an inner path that cannot be described by the written word.
The Mystic Taoist Path leads to individual and spiritual transformation. The great Western psychiatrist and philosopher C. J. Jung theorized that transformation of the personality requires having an understanding of, and making peace with, the unconscious. Particularly, those specific structures of the unconscious that become apparent as the seeker achieves self-awareness. The Tao te Ching is a tool for achieving that level of awareness.
When people focus their lives on wasteful activities and neglect their greatest potential, their lives are no more than a living death and they are nothing more than the walking comatose. For transformation to take place there must be a shift of the unconscious structures that shape and define ego-consciousness. When this shift begins, an awakening and self-actualization begins to unfold.
